The Balkans has that deeply-rooted fatality, which is quite an opposite to the ethno-romantic perception one might experience as a visitor. This song is a sonic memorial to a massacre that happened there some 30 years ago…almost a complete extinction of a village, where civilians, among them many children and women, were insidiously assaulted by masked members of a paramilitary formation who dragged them out of their homes and executed them in their home gardens. LEST WE FORGET….
